CH Murphy | Clark-Ullman, Inc. has established written policies to be certain our purchasing staff conforms to all federal, state, and local codes and complies with the guidelines set forth by the National Association of Purchasing Management. We have a rigorous vendor selection process designed to ensure that all products are purchased at the lowest end-use cost considering the guidelines of quality, price, service and availability.
All boiler tubing is inspected for proper marking as per ASME code. Other boiler parts are inspected upon arrival for quality and workmanship. Refractory materials are monitored to ensure quality. Stock is rotated frequently so that only the freshest product is delivered to the jobsite.
Supervisors monitor the actual performance of the crews and ensure all projects are finished to the highest quality standards, within cost parameters and to the customer/owner's time schedule. Supervisors and assistant supervisors attend periodic review sessions to hone their management skills and reinforce and improve their technical knowledge.
Quality control procedural manuals have been written for both Pressure Vessel Welding and Refractory Installation. We feel that our procedures exceed
ASME standards, our material suppliers recommendations and the refractory installation procedures set forth by ACI 547R-79 of the
American Concrete Institute.
We have in-house inspectors to ensure our work is being performed to the highest standards. Additionally, we contract inspectors from
Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection Group, and use state and local inspection agencies, as part of our effort to always provide work that is above the industry acceptable level.
